Beginning this Thursday and continuing through Sunday, the best golfers in the world will compete in Southampton, New York to decide the winner of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.com\/nbc-insider\/whos-playing-in-the-2026-us-open-heres-the-golfers-to-watch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the 126th U.S. Open<\/a>, and you can catch all the action live on NBC and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peacocktv.com\/sports?cid=2411evginsdredinbcrownedi302161&amp;utm_campaign=2411evginsdredi&amp;utm_source=insdredi_nbcupt_st-sv&amp;utm_medium=own_edi_awa_artl&amp;utm_term=insidereditorialreaders&amp;utm_content=sports\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peacock<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>NBC Sports plans 175 hours of live coverage of this year&#8217;s U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, including 31 championship hours live on NBC, multiview options on Peacock, and much more. Here&#8217;s how you can catch it live, and what you can expect.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/golf\/pga-tour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">PGA Tour Golf: News, Schedule, Highlights &amp; More<\/a><\/p>\n<p>How to watch the 2026 U.S. Open<\/p>\n<p>NBC Sports&#8217; coverage of the 2026 U.S. Open begins Thursday, June 18 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peacocktv.com\/sports?cid=2411evginsdredinbcrownedi302161&amp;utm_campaign=2411evginsdredi&amp;utm_source=insdredi_nbcupt_st-sv&amp;utm_medium=own_edi_awa_artl&amp;utm_term=insidereditorialreaders&amp;utm_content=sports\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peacock<\/a>, with the main broadcast beginning at 5 p.m. ET. Peacock coverage picks up again bright and early Friday morning, June 19, at 6:30 a.m. ET, with NBC joining the coverage at 1:30 p.m. ET. Founded in 1895, the event regularly hosts the world&#8217;s best golfers, and marks an important event for both PGA and European Tour golfers. The event features four rounds of 18 holes each, and rotates around various golf courses in the United States to maximize difficulty for players. This year&#8217;s U.S. Open will feature all of the top 10 ranked golfers in the world, headed up by World No. 1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.com\/nbc-insider\/scottie-scheffler-golf-career-highlights-wife-child\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scottie Scheffler<\/a>. The event marks the only major Scheffler has yet to win, which means a victory at the U.S. Open would complete a Career Grand Slam for the star after a 2024 Masters win and 2025 wins at the PGA Championship and the Open Championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But the competition is stiff, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.com\/nbc-insider\/rory-mcilroy-2025-players-championship-win-prize-playoff-explained\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rory McIlroy<\/a> (No. 2), Cameron Young (No. 3), Matt Fitzpatrick (No. 4), Russell Henley (No. 5), Tommy Fleetwood (No. 6), Justin Rose (No. 7), Jon Rahm (No. 8), J.J.
