{"id":23281,"date":"2026-06-18T20:40:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T20:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/23281\/"},"modified":"2026-06-18T20:40:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T20:40:07","slug":"a-fans-guide-to-the-2026-travelers-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/23281\/","title":{"rendered":"A fan\u2019s guide to the 2026 Travelers Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The best of the best will return to Cromwell\u2019s TPC River Highlands for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courant.com\/tag\/travelers-championship\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Travelers Championship<\/a>, which is in its third year as a signature event on the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n<p>The field features most of the world\u2019s top golfers \u2013 including past champions Keegan Bradley, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Harris English, Jordan Spieth and others \u2013 competing for their share of the $20 million purse on the 6,844-yard, par-70 course.<\/p>\n<p>The event, which <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Travelers_Championship\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">began in 1952 as the Insurance City Open<\/a>, has become one of the most popular stops along the tour. Known for dramatic finishes on a year-to-year basis, the 2026 event is set up to be another classic weekend following the U.S. Open.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what you should know:<\/p>\n<p>How can I watch on TV?<\/p>\n<p>After 19 consecutive years airing on CBS, coverage of the Travelers Championship moves over to NBC in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The first and second rounds on Thursday and Friday will air on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Golf Channel<\/a>, which will also carry the first half of Saturday\u2019s third round and Sunday\u2019s final round before coverage shifts to NBC for the conclusion of both rounds. All Golf Channel coverage will be simulcast on the GOLF app and NBC coverage on Peacock. ESPN+ will also have featured player and group coverage throughout the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Check <a href=\"http:\/\/travelerschampionship.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TravelersChampionship.com<\/a> for the most up-to-date broadcast information.<\/p>\n<p>Where can I get tickets?<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are on sale now on Ticketmaster, with prices for general admission grounds access beginning at $104 Wednesday, $125 Thursday and Friday and starting at $130 for Saturday and Sunday, as of press time.<\/p>\n<p>Champions Club tickets, for a climate-controlled, all-inclusive venue located to the right of the 18th green were starting at $528 for Sunday\u2019s championship round. The Champions Club, already sold out for Thursday and Friday, includes a full-service bar and complimentary lunch service. Tickets for the Mohegan Sun Terrace, an elevated, open-air retreat overlooking the 16th and 17th holes that also offers lunch and a full-service bar, according to the Travelers website, are already sold out for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and start at $472 for Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>More information about special admission programs offered for health care workers and first responders, military and veterans, and kids aged 15 and under can be found on the Travelers website.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s the parking situation?<\/p>\n<p>General parking is included with each ticket on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans generally park in a field adjacent from the course, near the first tee. Upgraded and VIP parking areas are also available for sale on Ticketmaster. Parking lots open one hour prior to gates opening and close one hour after play ends, per the Travelers website. Overnight parking and tailgating is not allowed.<\/p>\n<p>Parking for spectators with disabilities will also be available for vehicles with a valid state permit. A complimentary wheelchair accessible shuttle will be available from the lot to the main entrance. More information can be found on the Travelers website.<\/p>\n<p>What kind of fan amenities do they have?<\/p>\n<p>There is a reason the Travelers Championship was voted the best golf tournament for fans by USA Today.<\/p>\n<p>The TPC River Highlands course is set up for a full-day experience with enhanced bars, like the Bushmills Irish Whiskey Bar on the event lawn, the Links Drinks Transfusion Bar in the Fan Zone and the Sun Cruiser Sun Deck Bar near the eighth hole. There is the Hartford Healthcare Sports Zone with close-up views of the 15th tee and the 16th green, the Tree House Beer Garden with scenic views of the 14th green and 15th hole, and the Stanley Black &amp; Decker Lounge along the 18th fairway.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cFood Trucks on 5\u201d experience is back with Blue Chip Creamery ice cream, Crispy Melty grilled cheese, Liberty Rock Tavern southern fried chicken and The Wright Way burgers and barbecue located between the fifth and sixth holes.
