Charlie Woods, a 2025 Rolex Junior All-American, recently detailed the clubs in his golf bag in a video with the AJGA.His bag is filled with TaylorMade equipment, including a Qi4D driver, P\u2219770, P\u22197CB, and P\u22197TW irons.Woods alternates between a 7-wood and a 2-iron depending on course conditions, carrying 15 clubs in total.He has named his driver headcover “Fred,” a counterpart to his father Tiger’s famous headcover, “Frank.”<\/p>\n

Charlie Woods recently filmed a “What’s in the Bag” video with the AJGA<\/a> alongside Manny Girona, TaylorMade representative involved with player development. In addition to being the son of a 15-time major winner, Charlie Woods was a 2025 Rolex Junior All\u2011American who has announced in February that he plans to play college golf at Florida State<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here’s a list of the clubs that Charlie Woods is currently playing:<\/p>\n

DRIVER: TaylorMade Qi4D<\/a> (9 degrees), with Graphite Design Tour AD DF-6 X shaft<\/p>\n

FAIRWAY WOODS: TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini driver<\/a> (13.5 degrees), with Mitsubishi Diamana White Board shaft; TaylorMade Qi4D<\/a> (21 degrees), with Fujikura Ventus Black Velocore+ 8X shaft<\/p>\n

IRONS: TaylorMade P\u2219770<\/a> (2), P\u22197CB<\/a> (4-5), P\u22197TW<\/a> (6-PW) with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts<\/p>\n

You did not miscount … that list contains 15 clubs because in the video, Woods explained that he swaps out the 7-wood and 2-iron based on the course he’s playing and the conditions, as many Tour pros do. On courses that have thick rough, the 7-wood stays in the bag, but on firmer courses or at venues where there is less rough or more wind, he goes with the 2-iron.<\/p>\n

Among the other interesting things that Charlie talked about and revealed in the video were that while Tiger’s driver headcover is named Frank, Charlie’s headcover, which is identical to his father’s, is named Fred.<\/p>\n

“I named him Fred when I was, like, five,” Woods said.<\/p>\n

Woods also used a Sharpie pen to create a pseudo-wear mark on his driver so he can see more loft when he looks down at the ball in the address position.<\/p>\n

Also, Charlie’s mother, evidently, does not like the name “mini driver,” so “The Big 3 Wood” has been written on the headcover of his R7 Quad Mini. Rickie Fowler encouraged Charlie to try the club and he immediately liked it. Woods said that he not only uses the club on tight par 4s, but also finds that it is easier to hit off the fairway than he expected.<\/p>\n

“When I made the jump from the CBs with graphite shafts to my dad’s irons, he kinda never used a gap wedge, so it just kinda transferred,” Charlie said, referring to his two-wedge setup. “Ever since I graduated to (P\u22197TW), I’ve never used a gap wedge since. I think that’s partially because my pitching wedge has 49 degrees of loft.”<\/p>\n

Finally, Woods uses a Golf Pride MCC Align grip on his driver and the standard Golf Pride MCC grips on his other full-swing clubs.<\/p>\n
