One of the most iconic faces in Hollywood is set to visit the Travelers Championship<\/a> in Connecticut next week for the Celebrity Pro-Am.<\/p>\n

Comedic actor Will Ferrell\u00a0will make an appearance at the PGA Tour event to promote his upcoming golf-themed television series, “The Hawk,” the Travelers Championship confirmed to CT Insider.\u00a0Ferrell will be in attendance on Wednesday, the day before the first round of the Hartford-area tournament, from around 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

“The Travelers Championship is excited and looking forward to having Lonnie \u2018The Hawk’ Hawkins at the tournament next Wednesday,” the Travelers Championship said in a statement to CT Insider. “Fans won’t want to miss The Hawk and see him interacting with the best players on the PGA Tour.”<\/p>\n

Born and raised in California, Ferrell rose to national prominence on “Saturday Night Live” and has starred in an impressive catalog of hit films, including “Elf” (2003), “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” (2004) and “Step Brothers” (2008). He has won multiple Emmys and received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor during a career spanning more than three decades.<\/p>\n

At 58,\u00a0Ferrell remains one of Hollywood’s most recognizable figures, playing a memorable role in “Barbie” (2023) before starring in and producing the 2024 Netflix documentary “Will & Harper.”<\/p>\n

Ferrell is partnering with Netflix for “The Hawk,” portraying Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, a washed-up former world No. 1 golfer attempting an improbable comeback two decades after his peak. The 10-episode comedy series is set to be released July 16 on Netflix, and also stars Chris\u00a0Parnell and Luke Wilson, among others.<\/p>\n

Ferrell won’t be the only recognizable face in attendance in Cromwell next week. On Tuesday,\u00a0Carson\u00a0Daly will host the Travelers Championship 15\u00bd Challenge, a skills competition where participants have 15 minutes, 30 seconds to land a shot onto the floating umbrella green on the 15th hole. Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will be competing.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Jenna Bush\u00a0Hager, the daughter of former President George W. Bush and TODAY co-host with Daly, will co-host the tournament’s Signature Women’s Day.<\/p>\n
