From Major champions adding to their legacies and rising stars breaking through on one of the sport\u2019s biggest stages, to dramatic leaderboard battles and memorable moments throughout the field, the European Open once again delivered a championship worthy of its reputation.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the top storylines and biggest shots from an unforgettable week in Estonia\u2026<\/p>\n

1) The Gannon Buhr Show Continues<\/p>\n

Gannon Buhr continues to redefine what dominance looks like in professional disc golf. At just 21 years old, Buhr captured the 2026 PDGA European Open for his fifth career PDGA Pro Major title, fifth Tour victory of the season, and 24th career Tour win. The victory was never really in doubt, as Buhr grabbed the lead in the opening round and never relinquished it, carrying a commanding nine-stroke advantage into Championship Sunday before ultimately winning by four.<\/p>\n

2) Eveliina Salonen\u2019s Fifth Major Title<\/p>\n

Eveliina Salonen added another major chapter to her already impressive resume at the 2026 European Open, capturing her fifth PDGA Pro Major title and 10th career Tour victory. The win marks her second Tour victory of the 2026 season, following her triumph at the Kansas City Wide Open, and serves as another reminder of just how dangerous the Finnish star is on the sport\u2019s biggest stages. With a minor rib issue worth monitoring as the European swing continues, Wysocki still exits Estonia firmly in 2nd place in the DGPT Powerball World Standings, with another major podium adding to an already impressive 2026 campaign.<\/p>\n

4) Julia Fors\u2019 Breakthrough Major Podium<\/p>\n

One of the biggest breakout performances of the European Open came from Julia Fors, the young Swedish standout from Kungsbacka, who secured the first Tour podium of her career with a runner-up finish. European fans also had plenty to cheer for as Finland\u2019s Teemu Lampainen secured his first career Tour podium in just his 17th Tour start, pairing a 3rd-place finish with a field-leading 86% fairway hit rate. Eagle McMahon remains one of the hottest players on Tour with his third consecutive top-5 finish, while Calvin Heimburg continued his remarkably steady season with another 5th-place finish, giving him six top-10s in his last seven Tour events. Together, these performances helped round out a European Open filled with both established contenders and emerging stars making their mark on one of the sport\u2019s biggest stages.<\/p>\n
