It’s the final signature event on the schedule this season, featuring a loaded field that includes Clark (+2200), 2024 champion and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (+400), 2-time champion Keegan Bradley (+4500) and 2022 winner Xander Schauffele (+1600).

Below, we look at Travelers Championship odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions before the first round tees off Thursday.

Rory McIlroy is the most notable player missing from the field this week after he surprisingly opted to skip the Travelers Championship. Tommy Fleetwood (+1600), Cameron Young (+2200) and Ludvig Aberg (+2000) are all playing in Cromwell, though, making up what’s a stacked field the week after the U.S. Open. Bradley is the defending champion after edging out Fleetwood last season, his second time winning the Travelers. He finished at 15-under.

TPC River Highlands is only 6,844 yards long and is a par 70, featuring deep rough and bunkers that penalize players for missing the fairway. Trees also line the fairways on the front side, while the back nine gives players ample scoring opportunities with a short par 5 and a drivable par 4. Greens are small and undulating, as well.

Watch the PGA Tour on Fubo!Travelers Championship – Expert picks

Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday at 2:01 p.m. ET.

Tommy Fleetwood (+1600)

TPC River Highlands should be a perfect course for Fleetwood. It’s short and requires accuracy and precision, which Fleetwood always demonstrates off the tee and on approach shots. He had a 3-shot lead on Sunday last year and blew it to Bradley, but he’ll be back in contention again this week after a solid showing (T-11) at the U.S. Open, too.

Justin Thomas (+2500)

After a few years off, Thomas returned to Travelers in 2023 and has finished ninth, fifth and ninth in his last 3 starts here. He’s someone who can work the ball left and right to hit the appropriate shot off the tee and into the greens. Thomas is coming off a T-17 at Shinnecock, which was his fifth straight top-20 finish.

Patrick Cantlay (+2500)

Cantlay’s record at Travelers is as good as anyone’s despite not having a win here. He has top-15 finishes 8 times in a row, including fourth- and fifth-place finishes in back-to-back years in 2023 and 2024. Back in 2011, which was his tournament debut, he set the then-course record of 60 in the second round on his way to a T-24 finish.

Travelers Championship picks – ContendersBrian Harman (+5500)

Lefties have had success at TPC River Highlands, with Bubba Watson winning 3 times and Phil Mickelson winning twice. Harman has never won here, but he’s gone on a remarkable run with top-10 finishes in 5 straight years and in 7 of his last 8 starts here. It’s been a tough season for the former Open Championship winner, but he loves TPC River Highlands and is coming off a decent T-32 at the U.S. Open.

Sahith Theegala (+6600)

Theegala had a close call in 2022 when he tied for second, coming up short on the 72nd hole after his bunker shot hit the lip. He tamed Shinnecock with an impressive T-11 showing, gaining 1.52 strokes on approach, per Data Golf.

Harris English (+4500)

English won in an 8-hole playoff back in 2021, and he also tied for fourth last year. Though he missed the cut at the U.S. Open, he finished 18th at the PGA Championship and T-17 at the Memorial earlier this month.

Travelers Championship picks – Long shotsHideki Matsuyama (+6600)

Matsuyama’s odds are surprisingly long this week but he should be a good fit for TPC River Highlands with his approach play and short game around the greens. He’s finished 13th, 23rd, and 30th in his last 3 starts at this event, but it’s his recent form that has his odds getting stretched (T-43, T-65).

Ben James (+20000)

James is from Milford, Conn., and is familiar with TPC River Highlands after playing here in 2022 and 2023. He missed the cut both times, but he’s playing great at the moment, finishing T-23 at the U.S. Open after holding the 36-hole lead at the RBC Canadian Open the week prior.

For more sports betting picks and tips, check out SportsbookWire.com and BetFTW.

Golfweek:

Follow @camdasilva on Twitter/X.
