This trend began last year, when they updated their logo, signaling a fresh energy for the brand. Since then, we have seen a variety of new products that Tour Edge had not previously offered, including Lux golf bags, two lines of golf balls, and, most recently, a mini driver. Today, they continue this expansion with the launch of their new Zero T putters.

Zero Torque putters remain a popular trend in the putting market. If there were any doubts about this, look at the number of manufacturers now offering their own versions of zero-torque models. It’s no longer a segment dominated by just one brand. For Tour Edge, the timing is ideal to enter the zero torque market, and they are doing so in their signature style: by producing a high-quality product while undercutting most of the competition on price.

How the Tour Edge Zero T Design Works

The key to achieving zero torque is to perfectly align the center of gravity with the shaft axis, which is precisely what Tour Edge has accomplished with these putters. Upon examining the four models, it’s clear that they are not only center-shafted putters, but the shaft also connects behind the face. This design may require some adjustment for those transitioning to a zero torque model. Although Tour Edge did not specify exactly how far back the connection is or the degree of shaft lean in these models, I found them comfortable to use without the need for any specialized putter grips.

By combining high MOI models with the reduced twisting found in zero torque designs, Tour Edge offers four different putters that provide increased stability, consistency, and forgiveness. If you’re a golfer who has difficulty consistently squaring the face at impact, a Zero T putter could be the key to making more putts and lowering your score.

“Returning the putter face square to the target line at impact is critical for putting performance. The Zero T design stabilizes the face through the stroke to support that outcome for golfers of all skill levels.”
– Tour Edge CEO David Glod

Every member of the new ZT family features a precision-milled face, but one model has a slight difference. The ZT-1, ZT-2, and ZT-3 all have a one-piece body made of 304 stainless steel with horizontal milling. In contrast, the ZT-4 features an aluminum body while still incorporating horizontal grooves in a TPU insert.

Meet the Four Tour Edge Zero T Putters

ZT-1

Tour Edge presents a modern mallet design featuring rounded wings and a sloped alignment section. This model offers the second-highest MOI for players who prefer not to transition to the ZT-4.

ZT-2

The ZT lineup’s most compact head features a contrasting topline and three clearly distinguishable alignment lines to help golfers start the ball on their target line.

ZT-3

Larger and more squared-off than the ZT-2, this model also features a contrasting topline and the shortest alignment lines of the family.

ZT-4

Many ZT fans will recognize this shape by now. While it may not win any awards for aesthetics, this head provides incredible stability and the highest MOI.

First Impressions of the ZT-2

In recent weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to spend some time with the ZT-2 model, and I wanted to share my initial thoughts. First off, the size and shape of the putter head really resonate with me. Like many others, I’ve gone through a bit of a revolving door with putters, often settling on a mid-mallet shape, which is exactly what the ZT-2 offers.

When I stood over the ball, I noticed that the alignment lines were slightly thicker than those on other models I have on hand. The contrasting topline, combined with the three lines that perfectly frame the golf ball, made it easy for me to identify my starting point with this putter in hand.

Even though the ZT-2 is technically the lowest MOI putter among the four I’ve tried, it felt remarkably stable throughout the stroke, even when I struck the ball slightly off-center.

In terms of sound and feel, the stainless steel face had a slight brightness, but overall it provided a solid yet soft feel, particularly when rolling a Tour Edge Exotics golf ball.

Final Thoughts

It’s easy to dismiss the introduction of zero-torque putters and the recent launch of the Exotics Mini driver as Tour Edge simply following the recent trends. While there may be some truth to that, golfers should be excited about these new releases because Tour Edge has well established itself as arguably the best value in golf.

Tour Edge Zero T Putters Details and Availability

No matter which putter you choose, all models are offered in three length options: 34″, 35″, and 38″.
