(WBTV) &#8211; A man and woman were arrested after they allegedly damaged a golf course while driving away from deputies in Union County recently.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The couple &#8212; 33-year-old Whitney Maske and 38-year-old Nicholas Moore &#8212; was reportedly seen driving a pickup truck on cart paths at Charlotte National Golf Club in Indian Trail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Warrants showed the alleged incident happened on Sunday, June 21, and the couple was booked in jail early Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1Gtt7STQYi\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1Gtt7STQYi\/\">Union County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a> said the reported golf course joyride happened overnight, and when the truck went to get off the course, a deputy tried to stop them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The sheriff\u2019s office said they did not stop and got back on the golf course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">At some point, the sheriff\u2019s office said deputies contacted the truck\u2019s registered owner &#8212; Moore &#8212; who said he was in the truck and Maske was driving.
