With the Ryder Cup now in the past, the Presidents Cup is the next major team golf event on the calendar. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">Joie Chitwood, the longtime motorsports executive known for running events like the Indianapolis 500 and Daytona 500, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Daily\/Morning-Buzz\/2023\/05\/23\/pga-tour-taps-joie-chitwood-to-lead-2026-presidents-cup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Daily\/Morning-Buzz\/2023\/05\/23\/pga-tour-taps-joie-chitwood-to-lead-2026-presidents-cup\/\">is at the helm of the Presidents Cup<\/a>. He\u2019s been living in the Chicago area for more than two years preparing for next fall\u2019s tournament.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">In addition to premium sales being at 75% of goal a year out, general tickets are at 40%, having just gone on sale at the beginning of September. While the Ryder Cup and PGA of America made headlines for their $750 ticket for competition rounds at Bethpage Black, the Presidents Cup\u2019s top general grounds ticket tops out at $165 for a Saturday pass. Practice day tickets for Tuesday and Wednesday of the Presidents Cup start at $50, Chitwood said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2024\/10\/02\/presidents-cup-pga-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2024\/10\/02\/presidents-cup-pga-tour\/\">RELATED: PGA Tour turns attention to 2026 Presidents Cup<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">The early sales numbers give Chitwood the confidence to say the 2026 Presidents Cup will be the most successful ever, at least from a commercial point of view. All in, Chitwood expects around 200,000 people on the ground throughout the week in Chicago. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">\u201cThe market\u2019s responding extremely well both from a ground commission and a premium product perspective,\u201d Chitwood said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got some really reasonable and very accommodating pricing for our fans, which I think is very important.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">The Presidents Cup went to market with five main hospitality options: The 1924 Club, Presidential Suites, Windy City Suites, Hillside Suites and The Terrace. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">The 1924 Club is the top individual premium option that\u2019s available on a daily basis. One ticket to the club costs $8,000 and includes access to Medinah\u2019s clubhouse, premium food and beverage, one valet parking pass for every four passes purchased, and a private viewing deck on the 15th hole. Though 1924 isn\u2019t sold out, it\u2019s \u201cdoing very well,\u201d Chitwood said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"1924 Club\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/4IHKXTVDW5CW5IE2TOQV4JOFUQ.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"426\"\/>A daily pass to the 1924 Club at the Presidents Cup costs $8,000 PGA Tour <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">The Presidential Suites are what the PGA Tour is calling its most premium product for the week. The total investment, not including taxes, is $430,000 for the week, Wednesday-Sunday in groups of 75 suite passes. Also included in the package are two corporate host passes and 16 weekly grounds passes, as well as premium parking. Customers can customize a food and beverage package for an additional cost. The Presidential Suites, which are sold out for the week, are located at the 14th green. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">The event also has already sold out of its Hillside Suites option. That means only the Windy City and Terrace options still have tickets available from a group perspective, Chitwood said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-events-and-attractions \">Medinah sets up well for a Presidents Cup from a logistics perspective.
