It was tucked away on the Srixon tour truck, where several players were testing what appeared to be the company’s next-generation ZXi RKT drivers.

Srixon isn’t saying much yet. When asked about the new lineup, company representatives responded with a playful “no comment … yet.” That hasn’t stopped the golf equipment world from studying every photo and drawing educated conclusions.

Based on what was visible at TPC River Highlands, the new family appears to represent Srixon’s most significant driver redesign in several years. Photos show multiple models, including a standard version, a low-spin LS model, and a Max model, each with distinct weight configurations to fit different types of golfers.

The most obvious visual change is underneath the club. Srixon has abandoned the prominent beam structure used on previous generations in favor of a cleaner sole design that incorporates significantly more composite material. That should allow engineers to move more discretionary weight to the perimeter of the head, increasing stability while expanding the fitting possibilities through adjustable weights.

Another intriguing detail is the word “Acousticore” stamped into the sole. While Srixon hasn’t explained what it means, it seems reasonable to assume the company has targeted one of the few consistent criticisms of the current ZXi drivers: sound. The previous generation produced solid ball speeds, but many golfers felt the impact sound was higher pitched than competing models. If Acousticore is designed to improve acoustics and feel while also saving weight, it could prove to be one of the lineup’s most meaningful technologies.

Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!

The face has also been redesigned, replacing the previous i-Flex pattern with what Srixon calls “RKT Face,” although technical details remain under wraps.

For now, the new drivers remain something of a mystery. But after seeing them in person at the Travelers Championship, one thing is clear: Srixon isn’t simply refreshing the cosmetics. The company appears to be making a serious push toward greater adjustability, higher forgiveness and, perhaps most importantly, a driver that sounds as good as it performs.

David Dusek is a senior writer at Golfweek, covering equipment.

June 30, 2026, 10:30 a.m. ET One of the more interesting pieces of equipment gossip at last week’s…

[3022
58,59,2623,95,96,102,103,69,193,106,3145,62
post-30066","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-srixon","tag-accessfree","tag-sourcegolfweek","tag-srixon","tag-sstssportsgolfequipment","tag-sstsnequipment","tag-taggolf-equipment","tag-taggolfweek-golf-equipment","tag-tagoverall-positive","tag-tagpga-tour","tag-tagproduct-reviews-price-comparisons","tag-tagsrixon","tag-typestory
["GET
