Artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twin technology are changing the paradigm of golf course management. On the 1st, Meisa, the operator of an AI course management solution called \u2018Meisa Green,\u2019 said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DaJeong Golf Engineering for \u2018building a digital twin for golf course management.\u2019<\/p>\n

The purpose of this agreement is to move away from conventional methods and convert golf course conditions, work histories, and on-site action results into digital data as assets. The companies plan to build a structured smart management system that can be used immediately in real-world operations and decision-making.<\/p>\n

As recent climate change has driven up the difficulty of managing golf courses, demand has grown for data-based management systems and a predicted model for accumulated growing degree days (GDD). The two companies\u2019 cooperation is expected to meet these industry needs and significantly accelerate the digital transformation (DX) of golf course management.<\/p>\n

DaJeong Golf Engineering is a company that leads the adoption of advanced equipment such as unmanned robotmowers based on extensive field experience. Meisa will verify the \u2018Meisa Green\u2019 solution in line with DaJeong Golf Engineering\u2019s day-to-day operational flow, and begin efforts to upgrade the integration process that consolidates management sites nationwide into a single platform.<\/p>\n

\u2018Meisa Green\u2019 is an AI solution that links course conditions and work histories to convert an individual\u2019s know-how into an organization\u2019s data assets. After the companies conduct a pilot application (PoC) of the solution at commissioned management sites managed by DaJeong Golf Engineering, they plan to extend the technology to a level where automated equipment can judge on-site conditions on its own and operate accordingly. They will also pursue joint research and development (R&D) through a working-level council and expand the rollout of the solution across golf courses nationwide.<\/p>\n

Choi Seok-won, CEO of Meisa, said, \u201cCourse management is a field where the key lies in field experience and judgment, but now is the time to accumulate that experience as data and use it as objective evidence.\u201d He added, \u201cThrough this collaboration, we will do our best to ensure that Meisa Green becomes established as a complete digital transformation model proven in the field.\u201d<\/p>\n
