Picture: Google Maps<\/p>\n<p>The application said, as part of the continued investment into the resort, the 18-hole course is undergoing an \u2018exciting program of renovation and remodelling\u2019 to enhance its playing experience.<\/p>\n<p>It said the applicants identified a need for the golf club to have its own clubhouse facility and identity within the wider resort while continuing to make use of facilities at the Lodge Caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Planners said the site was a \u2018well-established facility\u2019 within Fornham St Genevieve and the proposals represented a \u2018modest and proportionate enhancement\u2019 to this.<\/p>\n<p>The extension would measure around 13 metres by nine metres.<\/p>\n<p>Planners said, given its location within the site, the extension \u2018would not appear visually intrusive\u2019 in the wider countryside.<\/p>\n<p>Find out about planning notices that affect you via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publicnoticeportal.uk\/?utm_source=suffolknews.co.uk&amp;utm_medium=partner&amp;utm_campaign=editorial_link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Public Notice Portal.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The application was approved subject to a series of five conditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Plans for a new golf clubhouse at a hotel and country club have been approved.
