From trendy trousers to the latest footwear collab and a brand delivering one of the strongest apparel weeks of the year, here are the biggest fashion stories from the week at the Open Championship.<\/p>\n
For the sixth straight year, FootJoy and Harris Tweed have teamed up to create a pair of limited-edition Premiere Series shoes for the Open, and this year\u2019s Packard model might be my favorite yet. Inspired by the traditions, textures, and storied links of the UK\u2019s Golf Coast, it taps directly into the quiet luxury movement with authentic Harris Tweed wool handwoven in Scotland\u2019s Outer Hebrides. The navy herringbone upper feels more Savile Row than sportwear, while the gold lace tips, eyelets, and spikes add just enough richness without distracting from the classic saddle design.<\/p>\n

Aim\u00e9 Leon Dore elevated a timeless FootJoy silhouette with premium materials and refined detailing while staying true to the game\u2019s heritage. It\u2019s another sign that fashion labels see golf as culturally relevant. Traditional wingtips are replacing sneaker-inspired designs, and heritage styling has become the most desirable direction in golf footwear.<\/p>\n
On the apparel side, Adidas was the standout brand of the week. Its athletes showcased the depth of the latest collection with a wide range of colors, silhouettes, and styling. While Day broke out a camo wind jacket and shorts set during practice rounds, he took a more restrained approach once competition began, and I was all in. As much as I enjoy seeing Malbon push the boundaries, I still think Day looks his best in these updated takes on \u201880s Tour style. Chest-pocket polos, straight-leg pants, and high-crown visors feel fresh while remaining wearable for all golfers.<\/p>\n
During the slim-fit, athleisure era, Lululemon\u2019s ABC pants became the blueprint for technical trousers. Now that more relaxed fits have arrived on the course, the brand\u2019s new Daydrift Pant has unexpectedly become one of the most influential pieces in modern golf fashion.<\/p>\n
Apparel free agent Tommy Fleetwood was one of the first Tour players to embrace the Daydrift, building most of his wardrobe around it. Lululemon ambassadors Min Woo Lee and Max Homa followed suit at Royal Birkdale. Together, they\u2019re proving that relaxed pants, when tailored correctly, look polished whether you\u2019re headed to the office, grabbing a pint after a round, or teeing it up in a major championship.<\/p>\n
What I like about the Daydrift is that it doesn\u2019t look like a traditional golf pant. The straighter leg, higher rise, and fuller drape are pulled from today\u2019s menswear conversation rather than a golf website. It projects confidence, sophistication, and a sharp eye for style without sacrificing the technical performance expected on the course.<\/p>\n

Vibrant pink remains one of the season\u2019s biggest trends, and nearly every apparel brand has its own version. As temperatures begin to drop, expect greens ranging from dusty sage to deep forest to take over. They\u2019ll pair effortlessly with navy, black, and neutrals. Burgundy and maroon, especially in trousers, will continue gaining momentum, while brown is finally getting the attention it deserves and looks especially strong alongside off-white.<\/p>\n
J.Lindeberg is celebrating its 30th anniversary by revisiting the designs that helped reshape golf fashion at the turn of the century. During the opening round, Viktor Hovland reached into the archives with a modern take on one of the brand\u2019s signature looks.
