The GTS300 sports a 305cc clubhead designed to deliver distance, control and forgiveness from the tee and directly off the turf. Driven heavily by direct feedback from elite tour pros like Justin Thomas and Cameron Young, the club aims to refine Titleist’s approach to the alternative driver category. Company officials note that in testing, golfers loved the brand’s previous mini driver – praising its turf interaction but clamoring for more stability. So in this version, the company created a larger footprint with a deeper center of gravity, boosting the club’s moment of inertia without compromising its ability to sweep shots cleanly off the ground.

That engineering shift yields a noticeable leap in playability on the course. The increase in head volume and optimized center of gravity placement gave the GTS300 roughly 15 to 20 percent more inertia than its predecessor. To achieve this, Titleist incorporated a lightweight composite crown that freed up valuable discretionary weight, allowing engineers to position mass precisely where it maximizes high-MOI stability. And despite its larger clubhead, the face height remains identical to its predecessor, preserving the shallow profile needed for confidence when hitting off the fairway.

To protect speed across the entire hitting area, the GTS300 incorporates a forged L-Cup face design that touts a high-strength ATI 425 titanium insert which wraps around the bottom of the clubface. This structure preserves ball speed, optimizes launch conditions, and maintains a solid sound and feel on low-face impacts, which are particularly common when hitting off the deck. For further personalization, the club features a dual-weighting system with interchangeable forward and aft flat weights. In its standard stock configuration, an 11-gram weight rests in the back with a 3-gram weight up front for maximum forgiveness and higher launch, though fitters can easily flip the weights to lower spin and create a flatter trajectory.

Tour validation for the new mini driver came quickly, with Justin Thomas debuting the GTS300 at an event back in May. Thomas frequently deploys the club on courses where traditional 3-woods aren’t needed off the deck, and used this mini-driver as a dependable secondary tee option that carries further than a 3-wood. This in turn lets him play a longer 46-inch shaft in his standard GTS2 driver to maximize total distance. The mini driver joins a broader GTS family that has seen rapid adoption, with more than 60 PGA Tour and LPGA pros moving into GTS models, contributing to victories across global professional tours.

Having just arrived in golf shops last week, the GTS300 is offered in a 13-degree loft for both right- and left-handed golfers, with standard playing lengths of 43.5 inches for men, 42.5 inches for women, and 41.5 inches for juniors. Complete with extensive weight options ranging from minus-6 to plus-6 grams, the club stands out as a versatile, highly tunable weapon for anyone seeking driver-like speed with fairway-wood control. While I haven’t tried this specific club yet, I have used several mini drivers through the years. I find this type of club to be a great option for the many of you who use a 3-wood off the tee in fear of embarrassing yourself by hitting ground balls with a large-headed, low-lofted driver. This is a great compromise that you’ll probably love.

GTS300 Mini Driver Titleist Like several other top brands, Titleist launched its latest mini driver last week.
