LIV Golf has \u201creceived \u2018multiple written commitments from blue-chip investment firms that would serve as anchor investors to support the league\u2019 going forward,\u201d according to sources cited by Mark Cannizzaro of the N.Y. POST. LIV Golf CEO Scott O\u2019Neil is \u201cbelieved to have been seeking between\u201d $250M-$300M. The prospective investors \u201chave submitted qualified term sheets\u201d that would \u201csupport the formation of a financing syndicate with sufficient backing to capitalize\u201d what LIV Golf is calling \u201cLIV 2.0.\u201d Sources added that LIV has \u201calso attracted interest from additional investors looking to participate alongside those anchor investors.\u201d There are \u201cbelieved to be some high-level meetings scheduled to take place next week\u201d at the LIV event at Trump Bedminster in N.J., meetings that will include O\u2019Neil and LIV players. The sources said that the \u201cexpectation is that a deal will be finalized \u2018sometime in September.\u2019\u201d But it is unclear how LIV will look in 2027 as it moves forward. There has been \u201ctalk of a heavier emphasis on team golf, but that remains to be seen.\u201d Under the proposed structure outlined in the term sheet, LIV players will \u201cown a majority stake in the league\u201d (N.Y.
