{"id":45655,"date":"2026-08-03T00:39:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T00:39:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/45655\/"},"modified":"2026-08-03T00:39:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T00:39:23","slug":"pga-of-australia-announces-landmark-extension-with-challenger-australian-golf-digest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/45655\/","title":{"rendered":"PGA of Australia announces landmark extension with Challenger \u2013 Australian Golf Digest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PGA of Australia today announced that Challenger, Australia\u2019s leading retirement income provider, has signed a landmark five-year extension as Title Partner of the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement represents the largest commercial partnership in the Tour\u2019s history and extends Challenger\u2019s commitment through to the end of the 2030\/31 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement coincides with the launch of this season\u2019s Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia schedule, which will deliver another summer of unmissable golf across all Australian mainland states, New Zealand\u2019s North and South Island and Papua New Guinea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026\/27 Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia season will feature 19 tournaments, providing a world-class competitive platform for the region\u2019s leading professionals and emerging stars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since becoming Title Partner in 2023, Challenger\u2019s investment has played a key role in strengthening the Tour, supporting enhanced tournament delivery, creating greater opportunities for players and elevating the experience for fans, partners and host venues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All Australian and New Zealand tournaments are now broadcast on Foxtel and Kayo, with the BMW Australian PGA Championship and Capital.com Australian Open \u2013 \u2013 both co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour \u2013 also broadcast\u00a0on Nine and 9Now, giving golf fans direct access to homegrown professional golf almost every weekend from October to April.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PGA of Australia Chief Executive Officer Gavin Kirkman said the new agreement, announced today at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney which will host this year\u2019s BMW Australian PGA Championship, was a major endorsement of the Tour\u2019s direction and future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis five-year extension is a landmark moment for the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia,\u201d Kirkman said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTo secure the largest commercial partnership in\u00a0our Tour\u2019s history demonstrates the confidence Challenger has in our vision, our players and the future of professional golf events across this region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSince joining us as Title Partner in 2023, Challenger has played a major role in helping us build momentum, strengthen our tournaments, create more opportunities for players to compete and progress their careers and produce awesome event experiences for our golf fans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis long-term commitment allows us to continue investing in our Tour, our events and the next generation of golfers chasing their dreams on the world stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Challenger Chief Executive Officer Nick Hamilton said the extension reflected the organisation\u2019s belief in the future of Australian golf and the strength of the partnership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt Challenger, we\u2019re in the business of providing Australians with long-term financial confidence.
