(KOAM\/KJFX) \u2014 About 5:45 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2026, reports of a crash on West 7th alongside the Schifferdecker Golf Course alerted E-911.<\/p>\n<p>Joplin Fire, Joplin Police and METS ambulance responded.<\/p>\n<p>On scene we learn it was nearly a head on crash on West 7th. An eastbound tractor-trailer swerved to miss a westbound passenger car.<\/p>\n<p>The tractor-trailer continued off the north side of the roadway and broke through the cable barrier fencing coming to rest on the fairway of the 15th hole of the Schifferdecker Golf Course.
