{"id":46301,"date":"2026-08-04T17:42:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T17:42:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/46301\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T17:42:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T17:42:07","slug":"tyler-nickol-named-mens-golf-assistant-coach-uk-athletics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/46301\/","title":{"rendered":"Tyler Nickol Named Men\u2019s Golf Assistant Coach \u2013 UK Athletics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LEXINGTON, Ky. \u2013 Kentucky men\u2019s golf head coach Gator Todd announced on Tuesday that Tyler Nickol will join the program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to add Tyler Nickol to our coaching staff,\u201d Todd said. \u201cHe\u2019s a high character guy who fits in great with our program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nickol arrives in Lexington having spent the 2025-26 season at Bowling Green State University, where he was an assistant to both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s golf programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to join Kentucky and build on what this team accomplished last season,\u201d Nickol said. \u201cI want to thank Coach Todd and Coach McDaniel for the incredible opportunity to be a part of the program and the culture they continue to build. I\u2019m looking forward to having everyone back on campus so we can get to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During his season at BGSU, Nickol helped coach both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams to third place finishes at the Mid-American Conference Championship. The women\u2019s squad won both the A-Ga-Ming Invitational and the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, while the men were runners-up at the Sweetens Cover Intercollegiate.<\/p>\n<p>Nickol played collegiate golf at Kentucky Wesleyan College from 2020 to 2024.
