A man carrying ammunition on his person and possessing a loaded pistol in his car was arrested at the Trump National Golf Club in Southern California on Sunday, according to multiple<\/a> reports<\/a>, just days before President Donald Trump\u2019s visit to the club for a Republican National Committee fundraising event.<\/p>\n Marine One helicopters prepare to land at the Founders Park Landing Zone near Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.<\/p>\n AFP via Getty ImagesKey Facts<\/p>\n The Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department said the man, identified as 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele, was arrested after appearing to monitor security preparations at the club by taking photos and video.<\/p>\n At the time of his arrest, Taele had a loaded magazine in his pocket and law enforcement officials found a loaded pistol in his car.<\/p>\n Federal agents searched the man\u2019s home on Monday and found body armor, high-capacity magazines, an AR-style rifle, a .45-caliber pistol and notebooks containing \u201cconcerning statements,\u201d the Los Angeles Times reported.<\/p>\n Officials haven\u2019t shared details on what the \u201cconcerning statements\u201d were about and it\u2019s unclear if authorities believe the man posed a threat to the GOP fundraising event or the president.<\/p>\n At the time of his arrest authorities also determined that Taele was a suspect in a robbery case being investigated by the El Segundo Police Department.<\/p>\n The sheriff\u2019s department noted there is \u201cno credible threat to our communities\u201d following the arrest.<\/p>\n What Do We Know About Trump\u2019s attendance at the fundraiser?<\/p>\n
