{"id":46773,"date":"2026-08-05T17:07:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T17:07:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/46773\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T17:07:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T17:07:23","slug":"st-jude-researchers-receive-28-5-million-to-develop-gene-editing-treatment-for-children-with-rare-diseases-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/46773\/","title":{"rendered":"St. Jude researchers receive $28.5 million to develop gene-editing treatment for children with rare diseases | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MEMPHIS, Tenn. &#8211; For children born with rare inherited bone marrow disorders, treatment can often mean chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and weeks in isolation.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers at St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital hope to one day change that.<\/p>\n<p>A team led by Dr. Shengdar Tsai has been awarded up to $28.5 million through the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health\u2019s Treating Hereditary Rare Diseases with In Vivo Precision Genetic Medicines (THRIVE) program.
