Quarterly net profit attributable to parent company shareholders increased 23.5% to ¥6.02 billion (approximately $38.2 million), marking record highs for the April-June period across revenue and all profit categories. The strong performance was fueled by robust domestic and international sales of golf and running-related products, the success of the new “JPX ONE” golf club that applies baseball bat technology, and the expansion of the work business segment.

In the domestic market, football, golf equipment, sports-style shoes, and the work business all performed solidly. Within the golf category, the new “JPX ONE” product contributed significantly to sales expansion. The work business, which offers work shoes incorporating running shoe technology, also grew steadily through an expanded roster of B2B clients. The increased sales of these high-value-added products led to improvements in the gross profit margin.

Overseas markets also demonstrated strong growth across regions. In Europe, sales of sports-style shoes expanded alongside running and golf, with operating profit surging 167.7% year-on-year to ¥1.04 billion (approximately $6.6 million). The Americas region achieved record-high results, driven by golf centered on forged irons, as well as baseball and running. In the Asia/Oceania region, sales expanded in running, football, and indoor sports—areas positioned as growth segments—resulting in record-high revenue. However, stagnant golf demand in the South Korean market partially weighed on profitability in that region.

Despite the strong start, Mizuno maintained its full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The company projects full-year revenue of ¥280 billion (approximately $1.8 billion), up 8.1% from the previous year; operating profit of ¥25.5 billion (approximately $161.9 million), up 12.8%; recurring profit of ¥26.5 billion (approximately $168.2 million), up 10.5%; and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of ¥19 billion (approximately $120.6 million), up 3.4%. The annual dividend forecast was also maintained at ¥66 per share (interim ¥33, year-end ¥33).

The first-quarter progress rate stands at approximately 25.5% of the full-year revenue forecast and roughly 32.8% of the operating profit forecast, indicating a smooth start. While uncertainties remain, including currency fluctuations and the stagnation in the South Korean market, the record-high quarterly results reflect the emergence of new profit pillars—the work business and sports-style shoes—alongside the core golf and running segments.

Mizuno (8022.T) announced on the 7th its consolidated results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending…

[3021
18539,10852,18543,517,44,18540,3123,18541,403,18542
post-47702","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-mizuno","tag-8022-t","tag-americas","tag-asia-oceania","tag-europe","tag-golf","tag-jpx-one","tag-mizuno","tag-running","tag-south-korea","tag-work-business
["GET
