A Missouri golf<\/a> tournament has gone viral after a player allegedly faked a hole-in-one during competition at WingHaven Country Club.<\/p>\n

Professional golfers like Rory McIlroy<\/a> or Scottie Scheffler<\/a> rarely experience this kind of drama on the PGA Tour. However, a viral story is making rounds on social media after a player is called out for cheating at a golf club.<\/p>\n

The alleged player called into question is \u201cZach Holland\u201d and a detailed video online<\/a> is quickly making rounds within the golf community.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the craziest golf stories I\u2019ve ever heard,\u201d according to @rjisntfunny on TikTok<\/a>. \u201cI mean, what a meticulous way to fake a hole-in-one.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the allegations in the video, the golfer is still quite good and posts a +2 handicap regularly. A scratch golfer is typically closer to a 0 handicap, while professional players record scores lower than par.<\/p>\n

Missouri golfer raises viral cheating controversy<\/p>\n

The allegations get even crazier after learning that the golfer supposedly played Division 1 golf as well. That raises the claims because it\u2019s simply not a casual player that attended the tournament.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the alleged cheater was premeditated in his cheating scandal after learning about a hole-in-one prize pool before the competition began. That leads to the player faking a phone call that involves a sick grandmother.<\/p>\n

The story gets more suspicious though when the player in question allegedly went ahead and hit a tee shot on a par 3 without anyone else seeing it. Of course, this is the hole where he ends up with a debatable \u201chole-in-one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI thinned it but there\u2019s a divot on the green,\u201d the video alleges. \u201cThey\u2019re all like \u2018okay, cool.\u2019 They get ready and go hit their shots. Low and behold, they go down to the green and golfer\u2019s ball is in the hole.\u201d <\/p>\n

However, the wildest part of the encounter comes when the course\u2019s superintendent gets involved. He reveals that there are cameras near the golf hole and that the player cheated after parking his car before creating a divot on the green and dropping a ball into the cup.<\/p>\n

This may not have been a PGA Tour or LIV Golf event, but the storytelling is something out of an award-winning film.<\/p>\n
