A new adventure golf course inspired by Wiltshire’s most famous landmarks has opened near Swindon and is already proving to be a huge success.<\/p>\n
Basset Down Adventure Golf, an 18-hole outdoor course located at Basset Down Complex, opened for the first time on Tuesday, August 4 following a \u00a3400,000 investment in the site.<\/p>\n
Each hole takes players on a mini golfing journey through the county, with features inspired by Caen Hill Locks, Stonehenge, Savernake Forest, The Ridgeway, and the Marlborough Mound.<\/p>\n
Juliette Nutland, owner and director at Basset Down Complex, said: “We’re delighted to see the new mini golf course officially open and already being enjoyed by the public.<\/p>\n
“The launch day was a great success, with fantastic feedback from visitors.<\/p>\n

“This exciting addition to our existing family-friendly activities further strengthens Basset Down Complex’s golf and leisure offering as we continue to establish ourselves as a leading leisure destination for Wiltshire and beyond.”<\/p>\n
The course was designed and built by Greenspan, a leading UK specialist in mini golf design and construction.<\/p>\n
It was financed by Sonder Sports, and will be operated in partnership with Basset Down Complex, which will manage the facility.<\/p>\n

“Having worked so hard to turn our shared vision for the course into a reality, seeing so many playing the course and enjoying themselves makes it all worthwhile.<\/p>\n
“We loved the potential of the location from the first day we visited.<\/p>\n
“It’s the perfect setting, and we couldn’t have found better partners in the Nutland family to operate the facility and make it a real success.”<\/p>\n
Basset Down Adventure Golf is part of a wider leisure complex featuring a 12-hole golf course which reopened in May, a Toptracer driving range, disc golf, footgolf, padel courts, and an award-winning restaurant and bar.<\/p>\n
The mini golf course is open daily from 9am.<\/p>\n
