THE Maleny community is being encouraged to don their golf shoes and support a vital local cause at the annual Maleny Hospital Auxiliary Charity Golf Day, to be held on Friday August 14, at the Maleny Golf Club.<\/p>\n
President of the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary Committee, Carol Lewis, said the event raises important funds for the Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital, while also bringing locals and visitors together for a social day on the green.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s golf day is particularly special as it coincides with the opening of the club\u2019s new clubhouse, adding extra excitement to what is already a much\u2011anticipated date on the community calendar.<\/p>\n
The fundraiser will feature an 18\u2011hole, four\u2011ball Ambrose competition with a 9am shotgun start.<\/p>\n
At $130 per player, the entry fee represents strong value, including two carts per team of four, fresh fruit and pastries on arrival, lunch, and entry into a day filled with golf prizes and raffles.<\/p>\n
Participants can register online using a QR code available on the Maleny Golf Club website or Facebook page, as well as on the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary Facebook page.<\/p>\n
Local businesses and individuals are also invited to get behind the event by sponsoring a hole on the 18\u2011hole course or donating items for raffles and prizes.<\/p>\n
