Lynn\u2019s Jack Yule secured his place for the weekend at the Danish Golf Open after carding a one-under-par 71 on Friday to finish inside the 36-hole cut line at Kerteminde.<\/p>\n

Yule opened the tournament on Thursday with an impressive three-under-par 69, with four birdies and just one bogey.<\/p>\n

He made a steady start on the impressive Great Northern course, recording birdies on the fourth, fifth and sixth holes before turning in 33.<\/p>\n

On the back nine he added another birdie at the 11th and remained mistake-free until the 17th, where a bogey briefly interrupted his momentum.<\/p>\n

Today’s second round was a more eventful affair. Yule started steadily with pars on the opening six holes before back-to-back bogeys at the seventh and eighth dropped him over par for the day.<\/p>\n

But the former Springwood High School pupil responded brilliantly on the back nine.<\/p>\n

A birdie at the 10th got him back on track, and another birdie at the 12th moved him into red figures. Further gains on the 17th and a solid par finish completed a one-under-par 71.<\/p>\n

The Danish Golf Championship is part of the DP World Tour, Denmark\u2019s premier professional golf event.<\/p>\n

Developed in 2016 and opened for play in July 2017, the Great Northern course was purpose-built for championship golf and this week marked the biggest platform on the international stage with the DP World Tour coming to town.<\/p>\n

Yule’s two-day total leaves him tied for 39th place at four under, seven shots behind overall leaders Cameron Adam and Antoine Rozner, both on 11 under.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old celebrated a major milestone in his professional career by making his first cut on the tour at the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship earlier this year, where he eventually finished tied-64th (T64) with a four-round score of 287 (-1).<\/p>\n

The King’s Lynn Golf Club member earned his full playing privileges after successfully coming through two stages of Qualifying School in quick succession last year.<\/p>\n
