(That\u2019s on me)<\/p>\n Yes, I hit the odd good shot with them. But what stood out from the very first swing on the very first hole was how solid and soft they feel.<\/p>\n I expect Mizunos to have world class sound and feel. But, their blades typically lag behind their JPX models in this regard.<\/p>\n Not so with the Pro S1 irons. <\/p>\n That swing and that contact took me back immediately to the first time I hit the JPX 921 Forged Irons. <\/p>\n Butter soft, yet solid. The ball launching high at my target. <\/p>\n They won me for life. <\/p>\n Back to the S1s. These are pure player irons, not player performance irons like the JPX Forged models.<\/p>\n But, I think they have maybe a little more pop than I expected. This may be owed to them also having a little more forgiveness than I expected too.<\/p>\n So, you have to bring more game and a more disciplined swing.<\/p>\n I really want to try the Pro S1s again when my game is in better shape.<\/p>\n Who Should Play Mizuno Pro S1 Irons? Serious players with serious ball striking, say 6ish handicaps on down.<\/p>\n Low handicaps: (Oh, Yes) Can\u2019t imagine you wouldn\u2019t love these. Our Best Alternatives to Mizuno Pro S1 Irons<\/p>\n Taylormade P-7CB irons<\/a> \u2013 Awesome clubs that play very similar to the Pro S1s. Don\u2019t sound and feel as good, but that\u2019s a high bar to meet. <\/p>\n Titleist 620 CB irons<\/a> \u2013 I\u2019ve been recommending the 620 CBs for years now. Very under the radar great irons. Similar playing characteristics Mizuno Pro S1s. Also with very good sound and feel.
