Photo: @peps_photography<\/p>\nStratford-on-Avon Golf Club golfer Stephen Creed has added another major title to his impressive season after winning the Belgium International Senior Championship at Royal Waterloo Golf Club.<\/p>\n
Creed, an England Golf Senior Men\u2019s star, carded three consecutive rounds of 71 for a six-under-par total to finish three shots clear of the field.<\/p>\n
The victory adds to his remarkable European Senior Men\u2019s Amateur Championship triumph in Cyprus earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Creed dedicated his latest victory to his late friend David Morgan, who sadly passed away a fortnight ago.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cWinning an international tournament is rare and I thought I had had my win for the year at the European Amateur in Cyprus.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery win I cherish, and this win was special as a good friend of mine passed away with cancer two weeks ago. I therefore dedicated the win to David who I co-ran the Warwickshire Schools Golf with.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will raise a glass of bubbly for Dave in a couple of weeks when I get a chance to rest from a hectic few months.\u201d<\/p>\n
Creed almost didn\u2019t enter the event, had it not been for his friends who persuaded him to compete.<\/p>\n
He admitted: \u201cThis event wasn\u2019t going to be on my schedule this year, but I\u2019m so pleased a couple of my friends convinced me to go.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love history and I\u2019m always looking to explore the area around venues – and Royal Waterloo Golf Club was only a cannon ball throw from where the Battle of Waterloo was fought!<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a great opportunity to combine golf and my love of history and see where ancient history was made.\u201d<\/p>\n
Creed was hoping to make history of his own and after the first two rounds of the Belgium International Senior Championship, he was just one shot back of local player Stefan Boschmans.<\/p>\n
Both players opened with birdies in the final round, and the match was level until Boschmans dropped a shot on the eighth.<\/p>\n
The contest remained tight until the par-three 15th, where a solid par gave Creed a narrow advantage.<\/p>\n
