American Sam Burns and South Korea\u2019s Im Sung-jae are tied second on 11 under, while Burns surged into contention with a bogey-free 62.<\/p>\n<p>England\u2019s defending FedEx Cup champion Tommy Fleetwood is tied with American Jake Knapp at eight under. Sweden\u2019s Alex Noren is at seven under and Norway\u2019s Viktor Hovland is a stroke further back.<\/p>\n<p>Scheffler and close friend Burns will play together in the final pairing. \u201cStrategy is still the same, just go out there and execute,\u201d Scheffler said. \u201cIt will be a competition like normal. It will be fun being out there with your friend but it\u2019s also a bit weird.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose fell well off the pace after costly closing holes. McIlroy made a double-bogey six on the 18th after driving into water, while Rose made a triple-bogey seven after finding the hazard twice. Both are six over.
