Jack Yule in action. Picture: Clive Downing<\/p>\nLynn\u2019s Jack Yule produced his best performance of the season on the DP World Tour by finishing just outside the top 20 at the Danish Golf Championship.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old had already achieved his primary objective of making the weekend after rounds of 69 and 71 left him four-under-par and safely inside the cut line at the Great Northern course in Kerteminde.<\/p>\n
Having opened with an impressive three-under-par 69 on Thursday, Yule followed up with a one-under-par 71 on Friday to secure only the second DP World Tour cut of his career and set himself up for a strong weekend challenge.<\/p>\n

The King\u2019s Lynn Golf Club member then continued his steady progress in Saturday\u2019s third round with a one-under-par 70.<\/p>\n
Yule picked up an early birdie on the opening hole before giving a shot back with a bogey at the third.<\/p>\n
Another birdie at the fifth moved him back into red figures and he turned in 35 after seven pars in the remaining holes of the front nine.<\/p>\n
On the back nine he mixed a bogey at the 10th with a birdie at the 16th to complete a round of 70 and move further up the leaderboard.<\/p>\n
Yule rounded off the tournament with a level-par 71 on Sunday.<\/p>\n
After a solid start featuring five pars in the opening six holes, a double-bogey six at the sixth briefly stalled his momentum and was followed by a bogey at the seventh.<\/p>\n
The former Springwood High School pupil responded impressively on the back nine.<\/p>\n
Birdies at the 10th, 12th and 16th holes helped him claw back the dropped shots to ensure he finished the week on a positive note.<\/p>\n
His closing rounds of 70 and 71 saw him climb the standings and secure his highest finish of the year on the DP World Tour, finishing 21st overall amongst a strong international field.<\/p>\n
The result continues a promising debut season at golf\u2019s highest European level for Yule, who earned full playing privileges after successfully negotiating two stages of Qualifying School last year.<\/p>\n
Earlier this season he celebrated another significant milestone by making his first DP World Tour cut at the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, where he eventually finished tied 64th.<\/p>\n
His latest performance in Denmark represents another big step forward.<\/p>\n
