{"id":51897,"date":"2026-08-17T19:20:16","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T19:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/51897\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T19:20:16","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T19:20:16","slug":"juju-chan-discusses-wedding-planning-with-sahith-theegala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/51897\/","title":{"rendered":"Juju Chan Discusses Wedding Planning With Sahith Theegala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Juju Chan, the fianc\u00e9e of pro golfer Sahith Theegala, is combating the persistent stereotypes of PGA Tour life as the couple enter the home stretch of wedding planning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThere\u2019s a scale on the PGA Tour, and just golf in general, on what kind of lifestyle you live based on how good you are, how much money you make and stuff like that,\u201d Chan exclusively told Us on Wednesday, August 12. \u201cSahith is very good, but also kind of in a middle position. Yes, he\u2019s making a lot of money, but he\u2019s not like Scottie [Scheffler] or Rory [McIlroy] or anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She continued, \u201cPeople think we fly private everywhere. Which, yes, he has a partnership with a private flight company, but we do not fly private everywhere. We fly commercial, we fly coach a lot more than people would expect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Chan and Theegala, 28, met as student-athletes at Pepperdine University, where Chan was a swimmer. The couple got engaged in October 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">An influencer who has racked up nearly 70,000 followers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@jujurchan?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">on TikTok<\/a> alone, Chan has been forced to push back against the narrative that all she does is \u201csit around, do nothing and just spend his money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI obviously do content myself, so I\u2019m working,\u201d she explained. \u201cI do a lot of brand deals when I\u2019m on the road because a lot of my content is revolved around golf. But we\u2019re also getting married, so I have a lot of wedding stuff to do. I like to work out. I feel like people have this idea that we literally sit there and spend money and that\u2019s it and that we\u2019re just racking up whatever we want, which is just not true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Chan added, \u201cSo many of these other girls are moms, so they\u2019re taking care of their entire house, you know? There\u2019s a lot that goes on behind-the-scenes that people don\u2019t realize.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As for the couple\u2019s upcoming nuptials, Chan said everything is going \u201cgreat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe have a wedding planner, which I know is a very big luxury,\u201d she said. \u201cBut she\u2019s taking on the bulk of the responsibility. I just get to pick all of the fun stuff and talk to her about my vision. We\u2019re a few months away, so we\u2019re getting down to the wire. I feel like everything\u2019s good to go. I\u2019m not stressed about it at all. I feel good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Chan explained Theegala has been \u201creally supportive\u201d throughout the process, but admitted he \u201cdoesn\u2019t have the vision that I have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cHe just wants it to be what I dream,\u201d she said. \u201cHis groomsmen came over to our house a few months ago and they were like, \u2018So, what tuxes are we wearing?\u2019 and he looked at me. I was like, \u2018Is this not the one thing you could pick?\u2019 But we sorted that out. I did pick. But for the most part, I think he\u2019s just really happy to not have to work on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Theegala, at least for now, still has plenty of golf requiring his focus. He will enter this week\u2019s BMW Championship, the second event of the FedExCup Playoffs, at 46th in the FedExCup standings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The top 30 golfers will advance to the TOUR Championship later this month at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, where the FedExCup Champion will be determined.
