Apple TV has revealed the first look at Stick season 2, and Owen Wilson\u2019s golf comedy is adding an Emmy-nominated name to the bag. Rhea Seehorn joins the cast<\/a> as Amanda, a new coach, when the season premieres on Wednesday, 4 November with two episodes, followed by one weekly until 30 December.<\/p>\n

Created by Jason Keller and starring Wilson, Stick follows Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill ex-pro golfer whose career derailed 20 years ago. In season one, Pryce bet everything on a troubled 17-year-old phenom named Santi (Peter Dager). Season two picks up as Santi chases professional golf \u2014 and discovers how quickly the game changes when talent becomes expectation \u2014 while Pryce, urged on by his former rival Clark Ross (Timothy Olyphant), attempts an improbable comeback as the oldest golfer ever to win a major.<\/p>\n

With Seehorn\u2019s Amanda and trusted caddie Mitts (Marc Maron) in his corner, Pryce sets out to prove to the golf world \u2014 and to himself \u2014 that he really was as good as everyone always said he was. The new season also welcomes John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander and Missi Pyle, with return guest appearances from broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, \u201cGood Good\u2019s\u201d Matt Scharff and golf enthusiast Dan Rapaport.<\/p>\n

Returning alongside Wilson are Dager, Maron, Mariana Trevi\u00f1o, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Olyphant. The series hails from Apple Studios, with Keller showrunning and executive producing alongside Wilson, Ben Silverman for Propagate Content, Entertainment 360\u2019s Guymon Casady, Christopher Moynihan, Rodney Ferrell, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg and Bill Callahan.<\/p>\n

Stick is one of the quieter wins in Apple\u2019s comedy slate \u2014 a feel-good found-family show set in a world television rarely treats seriously, as Esquire notes<\/a>. The cast addition suggests Apple sees it as more than a niche swing: Seehorn arrives fresh from her acclaimed turn in Pluribus<\/a>, another Apple series, which we reviewed when it landed.<\/p>\n
