At Deer Grove: Hall carded a 330 team score Saturday to win the small school division of the Rock Falls Invitational at Deer Valley Golf Club.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils\u2019 score was nine better than second-place Newman (339) and 15 ahead of third-place St. Bede (345). Bureau Valley (347) placed fourth among the nine teams.<\/p>\n
Hall\u2019s 330 would have won the large division as well as Rochelle took the large title with a 336.<\/p>\n
Hall\u2019s Noah Plym shot a 77 to claim the individual title, while teammate Joseph Perez tied for fourth with an 81. Hall\u2019s Luke Bryant tied for ninth with an 85 and Sammy Acosta rounded out the Red Devil card with an 87.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels good,\u201d Plym said. \u201cWe worked hard all summer and offseason as a team to be able to play our best and win.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like I played fairly well, especially considering how much the wind picked up. I feel like I left a couple shots out there but ultimately played well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gavin Lamboley led the Bruins as he tied for fourth with an 81. Also for St. Bede, Ty Carls shot an 86, Grady Mueller had an 87 and AJ Barto added a 91.<\/p>\n
For the Storm, William Miller tied for sixth with an 84, while Chase Stier(87), Isaac Linder (88) and Cash Stull (88) also scored for BV.<\/p>\n
At McNabb: Fieldcrest placed second among nine teams in the Putnam County Scramble at Edgewood Park Golf Club.<\/p>\n
The Knights shot a 59 to finish behind Seneca\u2019s 58. The host Panthers (67) took seventh and Henry-Senachwine (68) was eighth.<\/p>\n
GIRLS GOLF<\/p>\n
At Winnebago: Quinn Entrican shot a 114 to lead St. Bede at the Winnebago Invitational at Lynx Golf Course at Westlake Village.<\/p>\n
The Bruins shot a 488 to place eighth among the nine teams.<\/p>\n
Also for St. Bede, Aliyanna Arteaga had a 122, Callie Fusinetti had a 125 and Kylie Coons added a 127.<\/p>\n
At Sterling: Princeton\u2019s Hanna Claiborne and Illyana Jones each finished top 15 at the Sterling Invitational at Emerald Hill Golf Course.<\/p>\n
Claiborne shot a 102 and Jones had a 105 for the Tigresses, who carded a 472 to place sixth among the nine teams.
