A golf tournament will benefit the Special Olympics West Hawai\u02bbi at the Mauna Lani North Golf Course this Saturday.<\/p>\n
The golf tournament will feature a four-person shotgun format with registration beginning at 7 a.m. and tournament play starting at 8 a.m. Participants will enjoy a light continental breakfast, a round of golf, lunch, opportunities for mulligans, and contests with prizes.<\/p>\n
Registration is $250 per person. Individual golfers are welcome, and players without a full foursome will be paired with other participants.<\/p>\n
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Special Olympics West Hawai\u02bbi and help provide year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.<\/p>\n
The registration deadline is Thursday, Aug. 27. Businesses and community members are also invited to support the event through sponsorships.<\/p>\n
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy.<\/p>\n
