Rory McIlroy gave us a similar reassurance overnight (Australian time).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reigning Masters champion has arguably a better track record than anyone at the Tour Championship having claimed a record three FedEx Cups there. But it doesn\u2019t look like he\u2019ll add a fourth to his mantlepiece this week after needing to hit three chip shots from virtually the same spot during his second round.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.australiangolfdigest.com.au\/fedexcup2026-cameron-young-shoots-62-tour-championship\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cameron Young loves playing solo and it sure looked like it during his 62 at East Lake<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The short-game shocker occurred on the par-4 third hole at East Lake after McIlroy hit a poor approach shot from just 105 metres out that missed the green. But he compounded that error by missing the green on two more consecutive chips that came up short of the putting surface and rolled all the way back to his feet. Have a look:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s rough.
