Scottie Scheffler\u2019s caddie Ted Scott is in line for another huge payday this weekend. World No.1 Scheffler<\/a> is in the mix to clinch the Tour Championship title on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The four-time major winner sits joint-third in the standings ahead of the final round at East Lake. Scheffler is aiming to win the prestigious event for a second time, having previously captured the title in 2024.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old faces the task of overhauling Viktor Hovland\u2019s three-stroke lead in Atlanta, Georgia. The Tour Championship winner will scoop up the \u00a37.3million ($10m) top prize, which would also see Scheffler\u2019s caddie Scott<\/a> likely earn another eye-watering sum.<\/p>\n

While the precise details of the arrangement between Scheffler and Scott<\/a> are unknown, caddies typically earn around 10 per cent of a winning purse, with smaller percentages for lower finishes. If Scott has a similar agreement with the world<\/a> No. 1, a Tour Championship victory would earn him around \u00a3730,000. Should Scheffler remain third, Scott would receive a portion of his \u00a32.73m in prize money.<\/p>\n

However, Scheffler has previously admitted that he is largely unaware of his financial arrangements with Scott. The golfer explained that, while he signs off on the payments, he delegates his finances as he is childish when it comes to managing his money,<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Pardon My Take podcast in 2024, he said: \u201cIt\u2019s been a fun year. I don\u2019t really think about the money that much. At the end of the day, I\u2019m just playing golf<\/a> and the money is just a gift on top of that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a girl that helps us pay bills because I\u2019m basically a child and can\u2019t keep track of that stuff. She quickly took over that job and texts me at the end of each week saying. \u2018Hey, this is how much we\u2019re paying Ted.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s great.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Scott has been Scheffler\u2019s bagman since 2021, helping him win all four of his major titles. Despite failing to win a major this year, Scheffler did manage top-five finishes at the Masters, US Open and Open Championship.<\/p>\n

Scheffler sits on 12-under-par and is currently part of a four-way tie for third, alongside Chris Gotterup, Ludvig Aberg and Adam Scott. Hovland leads the way on 15-under, while American Ryan Gerard is one shot behind.<\/p>\n
