After securing his second FedEx Cup on Sunday, Scottie Scheffler got a shoutout from one of the all-time greats. <\/p>\n
Tiger Woods hyped Scheffler up on social media after his win at the Tour Championship this week. <\/p>\n
Scheffler started the 2026 season off strong, winning at The American Express in January. While he didn’t stack up nearly as many wins as he did in 2024 and 2025, he managed to put together some strong performances throughout the year.<\/p>\n
He finished second at the Masters and tied for fourth at the U.S. Open and The Open, and had a handful of other top-five finishes. He picked up his second win of the year at the FedEx St. Jude Championship earlier this month before winning The TOUR on Sunday.<\/p>\n
It perhaps wasn’t as impressive as some of Scheffler’s past seasons, but he nonetheless finished the year on top.<\/p>\n
“I think that’s something I’m very proud of,” Scheffler\u00a0said<\/a>. “I think when you look over the course of the season, and especially some of the tough starts, shooting over par to start a tournament on the PGA Tour is never a good spot to be in. I’m very proud of fighting back and having some good finishes and even giving myself some chances to win with some of those poor starts.<\/p>\n “Overall, [I] just continued to battle, day in and day out. It’s something that I’m very proud of. It’s a gift to be out here on tour. Each and every day, I’m going to try to give it my best.”<\/p>\n
