\u201cBut I would like to see Scottie Scheffler, who\u2019s such a wonderful golfer and such a nice man, to travel and promote golf internationally more than he does because we have a debt incurred.<\/p>\n
\u201cGolf has done so much for us and if Scottie would travel and play just a little more, I would say five tournaments a year like Nicklaus did, like Palmer did, like Sam Snead did, like Trevino did, like Tom Watson.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think he eventually will. I think at the moment he\u2019s so intent on setting as many records in America and I\u2019ll follow him with great interest.\u201c<\/p>\n
It is obviously Scheffler\u2019s prerogative to play more in America than he does internationally.<\/p>\n
However, it would undoubtedly be great for the game of golf if he decided to play more international tournaments in the future.<\/p>\n

Back in July, Scheffler was asked whether playing more tournaments outside of the United States interests him.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt definitely interests me,\u201c the world number one replied.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019d like to see how it shapes out the next couple of years. There\u2019s a lot of places I think I\u2019d like to play.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s always just, you know, the time and the place for me. I\u2019m at a time in my life where I have a young family at home and young kids. The fall is a special time for our family. It\u2019s where we can really check out and be together, and I get to spend a lot of time with my kids. So I hold those moments pretty sacred.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut at the same time I love golf and I would love to be able to play more internationally. Like Australia, New Zealand is a place we would love to be able to go to. My wife has always wanted to go to New Zealand.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut like I said, I love this style of golf [links], and I feel like it\u2019s pretty unique to here. But going to play the Sandbelt in Australia would be pretty special as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully I can find the time.
