The $40 million purse made the TOUR Championship one of the richest tournaments on the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n

ATLANTA \u2014 Scottie Scheffler has done it again at East Lake.<\/p>\n

The world’s No. 1 golfer rallied Sunday to win the 2026 TOUR Championship in Atlanta, adding another FedExCup title to his r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and another massive payday to what has been an extraordinary season.<\/p>\n

Scheffler’s victory at East Lake is worth $10 million, the winner’s share of the tournament’s $40 million purse.<\/p>\n

But that $10 million check is only part of Scheffler’s postseason windfall.<\/p>\n

Scheffler had already secured the top spot in the FedExCup standings before arriving at East Lake, guaranteeing him another\u00a0$23 million in FedExCup bonus money. The PGA Tour says that bonus is separate from the TOUR Championship purse.<\/p>\n

That puts Scheffler’s combined FedExCup-related payday at\u00a0$33 million:<\/p>\n

The TOUR Championship returned to a traditional 72-hole format for the second consecutive year, with all 30 players starting at even par rather than receiving staggered starting scores based on their FedExCup position. The player with the lowest 72-hole score wins the tournament and the FedExCup.<\/p>\n

Scheffler’s victory also adds another major accomplishment to his already remarkable run at East Lake. He won the TOUR Championship in 2024 and now has another title at the Atlanta course.<\/p>\n

The $40 million purse made the TOUR Championship one of the richest tournaments on the PGA Tour. The runner-up earned $5 million, while third place received $3.705 million. Even the 30th-place finisher took home $355,000.<\/p>\n

For Scheffler, though, the biggest number coming out of East Lake is the one attached to his name at the top of the leaderboard — and the $33 million coming his way from the tournament victory and season-long FedExCup bonus.<\/p>\n

Scheffler passed Tiger Woods for the top spot on the all-time PGA Tour earnings list, with a now whopping $130 million in earnings over his career.<\/p>\n
