Every wedge in the Hi-Toe 5 family is forged from soft carbon steel, a first for the line, which previously relied on cast construction.<\/p>\n

Matt Bovee, TaylorMade Senior Director of Product Category, says the switch delivers that response alongside the kind of manufacturing precision that helps golfers dial in distance and trajectory with more confidence. The headline features remain: the enlarged toe, the full-face grooves, a wedge unafraid to look like a scoring tool rather than a safe, symmetrical clone of the rest of the set.<\/p>\n

The saw-milled grooves, shared with TaylorMade\u2019s Milled Grind 5 irons and wedges, now extend from heel to toe across the entire face, rather than stopping short of the toe as on previous models. That matters for anyone who opens the face for flop shots or greenside spin, where ball-to-face contact happens well away from the centre.<\/p>\n

Steeper sidewalls and sharper internal radii, made possible by the saw-milling process, increase friction at impact for more spin and control. Laser-etched micro-channels on the face also direct moisture away from the strike zone, useful on the dewier mornings that punctuate the UAE\u2019s cooler months.<\/p>\n

ATS offers all-round versatility through its four-way cambered sole. ATV pairs a concave sole with asymmetric bounce for players who favour an open face. ATX, built on three independent sole ledges, suits steeper attack angles. ATW, the widest and highest-bounce of the five, is designed for maximum forgiveness from bunkers and soft lies. ATC, the low-bounce option, rewards a shallower angle of attack on tight lies.<\/p>\n
