Scottie Scheffler ended his 2026 PGA Tour season with a superb win at the Tour Championship last Sunday.<\/p>\n

Scheffler\u2019s win at East Lake was his third of the season, and it underlined his dominance in the sport.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old world number one now has 22 PGA Tour wins to his name since February 2022, including four major championships.<\/p>\n

While Scottie Scheffler<\/a> isn\u2019t quite at Tiger Woods<\/a>\u2018 level just yet, it\u2019s certainly fair to make comparisons between the two players.<\/p>\n

Scheffler can break Woods\u2019 record for consecutive weeks spent at world number one<\/a> if he remains at the top of the rankings until October 2028.<\/p>\n

It is genuinely hard to envisage a scenario where that does not happen.<\/p>\n

The man from Dallas, Texas, is just so consistent. His bad weeks seem to be top-10 finishes, and he has missed only one cut since August 2022.<\/p>\n

Colt Knost makes Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods comparison<\/p>\n

Former PGA Tour player Colt Knost is a huge admirer of Scheffler, and why wouldn\u2019t he be?<\/p>\n

While speaking on the Sub Par Podcast<\/a>, Knost outlined what impresses him most about the world number one.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe shows up to compete, whether it\u2019s at Royal Oaks Country Club playing with the Boys, or on the PGA Tour, or a major championship, he shows up to compete every day, and that\u2019s what I respect about him so much,\u201c Knost admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn his last 100 events on the PGA Tour, he obviously has 22 wins, but he has 58 top-5s! The guy doesn\u2019t play bad. That percentage right there is just ridiculous.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never seen anything like it other than Tiger Woods, but to put yourself in there week after week after week and just never have an off day.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, I played this game for a living. Some days you show up, you feel like s\u2013\u2013t, your body hurts.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe something\u2019s going on off the golf course, you\u2019re distracted, and you\u2019re like, I don\u2019t want to be here.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd you kind of just go through the motions, you go out there, you play bad, and you call it a week.<\/p>\n

\u201cScottie Scheffler does not do that.\u201c<\/p>\n

Scottie Scheffler has had one bad week since the US Open in 2024<\/p>\n

Knost went on to highlight just how consistently brilliant the current world number one has been over the past two years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know he missed the cut at the Scottish Open. I\u2019ll give that one a pass just because you\u2019re travelling to a different time zone. It\u2019s a long flight over to Scotland to play over there,\u201c Knost explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd you have to go all the way back to the 2024 U.S. Open, where he finished 54th or whatever after winning The Memorial the week before on basically a major championship venue.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s going back to 2024. You pick out two weeks where it\u2019s like, yeah, he didn\u2019t have it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was okay, yeah. It wasn\u2019t like it was some sort of disaster.\u201c<\/p>\n

The fact that Scottie Scheffler doesn\u2019t have off-weeks is a remarkable attribute, one that Tiger Woods also possessed.<\/p>\n

It will be fascinating to watch Scheffler try to make inroads into some of Woods\u2019 records over the next decade.<\/p>\n
