Born and raised in Los Angeles and of Chinese-Japanese descent, Collin Morikawa attended La Canada High School before graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2019 with a degree in Business Administration. <\/p>\n
He won five times as a collegiate player, including the Pac-12 Conference Championship, and played in the Palmer Cup, Walker Cup and Eisenhower Trophy as an amateur. In 2018 he spent three weeks at No.1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. <\/p>\n
He turned pro immediately after leaving college and within weeks had won his maiden PGA Tour title. <\/p>\n
Twelve months later, he won a second title and made his breakthrough at the PGA Championship. Since then, he has gone on to win a second at The Open, as well as two more PGA Tour victories and a DP World Tour title. <\/p>\n

Zhu was born in Vancouver, Canada, but her family moved to China and she attended Zhuji Hailiang High School before relocating to LA where she attended Pepperdine University.<\/p>\n
She grew up in a sport-mad family and her dad, Mike Chu, was an ITF-ranked tennis player. In a Q&A<\/a> on the Pepperdine website, Zhu said: \u201cMy mom ran track, and my dad played soccer. When I was little, they would just sign me up for different sports. They are really a big factor in how I got into sports.\u201d <\/p>\n Like Morikawa, Zhu played collegiate golf.<\/p>\n \u201cGolf is such a big part of my life,\u201d she wrote on an Instagram post<\/a> in 2019. \u201cIt\u2019s taught me to be strong when things aren\u2019t going well.
