{"id":699,"date":"2026-05-23T13:45:42","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T13:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/699\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T13:45:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T13:45:42","slug":"perth-golf-playoff-victory-for-golfer-curtis-luck-as-he-wins-his-first-cottesloe-open-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/699\/","title":{"rendered":"Perth golf: Playoff victory for golfer Curtis Luck as he wins his first Cottesloe Open title"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">A long-time western suburbs golf player took home a huge win for his club after a nail-biting finish at this year\u2019s 2026 Cottesloe open.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The popular tournament returned to the Cottesloe Golf Club earlier this month in what proved to be another strong turnout.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">It was a special win for one of Cottesloe\u2019s own players, Curtis Luck, who took home the winning trophy, marking his first \u201cblue jacket\u201d victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Scores for the weekend tournament remained tight right to the end. Runner-up Jye Halls forced a playoff with an eagle on the 17th hole and a birdie on the 18th, before the pair returned to the 18th for the decider.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">But after halving the first playoff hole with matching pars, Luck sealed his victory on the pair\u2019s second return to the 18th \u2014 again finishing with a par.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">It marked a significant win for Luck at Cottesloe, which has been his home club since 2006, after he finished runner-up in both the 2025 and 2024 tournaments.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/golf\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/ee1c3c2248386e3a40fa8166e3c51d84f01c691d.jpg\" alt=\"Winner of the 2026 Cottesloe open Curtis Luck.\" class=\"css-16r7l45-StyledImage en5ut4d0\"\/>Camera IconWinner of the 2026 Cottesloe open Curtis Luck.
