Jim Gavin’s campaign has defended the use of Parkrun in his presidential campaign videos, despite the organisers saying the events “should never be used to publicise political campaigns of causes”.
The Fianna Fáil candidate’s social media video of him taking part in a Parkrun event last weekend has already been subject to controversy over the use of a drone to film it, despite it being in a restricted “red” zone.
