Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an incident in which a child was injured after being struck by a car in Letterkenny at the weekend.
The collision occurred in the cinema carpark on Sunday at approximately 5.15pm. The girl was subsequently taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment. Her injuries have been described by Gardaí as ‘not life threatening’.
“We are not seeking anyone in relation to the incident as all parties involved were spoken to at the scene, but we are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to get in touch with us,” a garda spokesperson stressed.
If anybody was in that area with a dash-cam, they are urged to make the footage available to Gardaí. Letterkenny Gardaí may be reached on 074-9167100 in connection with the incident.
