Amazon’s Big Deals Day sale event returns this week and the retailer is already dropping prices across appliances, health and beauty, tech and more. The 48-hour event starts on Tuesday, October 7, at one minute past midnight.

Shoppers who aren’t yet Prime members can sign up for a free 30-day Prime Trial here to ensure they can participate in the two-day sale. Customers who aren’t Prime members can still buy some discounted Amazon products included in the sale, but they’ll miss out on some of the biggest deals.

Ahead of the sale, Amazon has dropped the price of the MFVLP Smart Watch, down to £29.99 from its original cost of £199.99. The watch comes with a huge range of features, including more than 120 sports modes, app built-in fitness videos, a pedometer, and heart rate, sleep and blood oxygen monitoring.

The product is also able to make and answer phone calls, and features a 1.85-inch AMOLED high-definition display. There’s also message notifications, a music player, flashlight, calculator, sedentary reminder, language assistant, and more.

Elsewhere, Currys is stocking the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 for £59.99, while Sekonda has the Sekonda Connect Smart Watch for £89.99. Boots also has the Garmin Vívomove Sport Smartwatch for £179.

The smartwatch has racked up rave reviews online, gaining a perfect five-star rating from impressed shoppers. One shopper said: “Nice and sleek. I’m very impressed with this smartwatch. The display is bright, sharp, and has a premium feel, and the always-on option is a great touch.

“Taking and making calls directly from my wrist is super convenient, and the fitness tracking features like heart rate, sleep, calories, and steps are accurate and reliable. Great!”

A second wrote: “Stylish and packed with features. This smartwatch exceeded my expectations. The AMOLED display is bright and clear, calls work smoothly, and tracking is accurate. Battery life is solid, and it’s comfortable to wear daily. Great value for the price.”

However, some shoppers mentioned issues they had with the product. One person said the watch is “occasionally frustrating” and added: “Only negative so far is that the manual is very brief. I supposed that’s a reflection that most people never read them.”

Another shopper claimed the “display could be brighter in direct sunlight” but added that “overall it’s a stylish, practical, and reliable smartwatch for everyday tasks and fitness tracking.”

Despite this, plenty of others continued to praise the watch. One happy shopper said: “Very impressive first smart watch. First smart watch – so not sure I knew what I wanted. Plus points. Very well made with a clear bright screen. Software is easy to install (Standard Google play app).”

Another wrote: “I bought this smartwatch and I am very satisfied. The AMOLED display is very clear and bright, even in sunlight. The calling feature is working perfectly – I can answer and make calls directly from the watch which is very convenient.

“Battery timing is also good, lasting many days on single charge. The fitness tracking is accurate with heart rate, sleep, and SpO2 monitor, and the sports modes are more than enough for daily use. The design is stylish, and dark blue colour looks very nice. Overall, a very good smartwatch in this budget.”
