A Wexford restaurant owner has reacted to Budget 2026 and the decision to reduce the Vat rate for the food and catering business and hairdressing businesses from 13.5pc to 9pc, which will come into effect in July 2026.

Finance Minister Pascal Donohoe said the measure reflected “the Government’s commitment to support businesses in the services sector who are facing increased cost pressures.”
