Better insulation and tech upgrades are among actions that can make a real difference to how much you pay

There were slim pickings in the budget for hard-pressed households, and as expected, no new energy credits finding their way into our pockets to alleviate the winter bills.

There’s not much we can do about government policy, oil prices or President Trump’s latest outpourings, so when it comes to insulating ourselves for what’s to come, it’s a good idea to at least insulate our homes against the cold, and give our house insurance a shaking out too, to save some money.
