For the first time ever, an Irish bar has made history by being named on the New York Times’ best American restaurant list, less than 12 months after opening its doors, securing its place in the culinary history books.
McGonagle’s in Dorchester, a neighbourhood in Boston, is a classic Irish-American bar, known for its no-frills atmosphere and strong community ties; a place where regulars gather for pints of Guinness, casual conversation and, now, award-winning Irish food, from spice bags to battered sausages.
