Even a child at senior infants’ level soon learns the life lesson that two wrongs don’t make a right.
So it would be unfair, childish even, for this country to change habits when Portugal supporters visit Dublin for next month’s qualifier – a game that could be irrelevant if Portugal do the needful tomorrow and have qualification sewn up with two games to spare – and for Ireland Inc to take away the welcome mat, withdraw the hand of friendship.
