One person shared: ‘Great plot with a supposed murder out at sea that nobody saw. An exciting whodunnit. The heroine saw something and doggedly stuck to her guns despite everyone against her. Love the super yacht and luxury on board. Not forgetting the beautiful scenery and landscape from the yacht. Watching the crew servicing the wealthy elites, I’m just imagining being one of the guests. I enjoyed this thriller immensely.’
Another penned: ‘Storyline is good, gripping and some refreshing twists in the plot.’
A third added: ‘If you like a good Agatha Christie-style story, then I think you’ll enjoy this.’
So despite the 33% Rotten Tomatoes score, fans will have to hold off ruling out the new thriller.
Guy Pearce plays Richard Bullmer in the film, with Hannah Waddingham starring as Heidi.
While the star-studded cast also includes Kaya Scodelario, Art Malik, David Morrissey, Paul Kaye and John Macmillan.
A decade after first writing the suspenseful story, author Ruth told Tudum that the plot was still resonant today because ‘the fear of not being believed is perennial, unfortunately’.
She added: ‘Cabin 10, at its heart, is about a woman who experiences something wrong, reports it truthfully, and isn’t taken seriously because of who she is.

Hannah Waddingham looked great in a corsetted number that clung to every inch of her enviable curves and boasted black beaded details on the pockets
‘Too many people know what that feels like and I think we want vindication for ourselves as much as Lo.’
And she also heaped praise on the ‘amazing’ cast and crew of the film adaptation, saying she felt her characters were ‘in good hands’.
Ruth gushed: ‘I’ve said in acknowledgements before that it takes a village to make a book, but what I learned going on set for Cabin 10 is that it takes a whole town to make a film — it’s truly amazing seeing so many people working so hard on something you created.
‘It’s also a big leap of faith, of course — like handing your baby over to strangers. But I feel Lo and company are in good hands.’
The Woman In Cabin 10 is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
